Bold & Blue
Turquoise is bold, beautiful and bright and has inspired me in the design of the new Boutique changeover. Antique chinese drum stools and a combination of bold fabrics are the perfect combination for a summer makeover. We look forward to welcoming you at our boutique at 160 Walton street where all of these wonderful pieces are available.

Whilst travelling around China earlier this year, I came across this stunning Antique Jade Disc that would make a wonderful addition to any mantel piece or console. Jade in China is regarded as ornamental, ceremonial and protective - The Chinese strongly believe that if you have jade around the house it attracts positive energy and the dragon carving is also believed to bring good luck and prosperity. This disc would be the ideal present for newlyweds, a friend who has just moved home or even for someone just wanting a little bit of good luck!

I have recently specified some wonderful metal fabric by Sophie Mallebranche for a Mayfair project in London.
The selection of colours available are endless and the sheen of the material will allowed to achieve a very elegant but edgy look.
Embellishments on the fabrics are also available so the possibilities are infinitive.

A new favourite of mine is the latest rug collection by Stark carpet. The Samsun collection is currently only available in America however I am sure it will be a huge success and I hope it will be making it over to the UK soon. The collection is a series of Ikat prints, hand woven in wool and viscose in the beautiful palette of teal, blues and grey; a delightful backdrop to one of my interiors.

Another magnificent item that I have just recently discovered in Australia are these stunning decorative bowls. Add luxury to your home by arranging a group of them on a coffee or console table, or even scatter them around the house from room to room. They come in a set of 3, with the largest being 28cm in diameter. The metal spirals form a fluid shape that allow the bowl to be beautiful on its own, or place them with some other decorative accessories around them to compliment the piece.

I picked these exquisite Santorini patterned planters up whilst I was travelling through Vietnam recently; the country is such a fantastic source of beautiful products and inspires me constantly! Perfect for either inside the home or to smarten up your terrace, these fantastic items are now available in 3 sizes from our boutique - their intricated carved detail are a credit to the craftspeople of Vietnam and they're definitely worth dropping by the boutique to have a look.

Always exciting to use large scale art to add drama and interest to an interior. Seldom do you find big dramatic pieces that are also beautiful and soulful, I love the work of Alison Watt - see her exhibition 'shift' at the Scottish National Gallery - for this rare quality.

I'm currently overseas on a sourcing trip in Australasia seeking lots of new and beautiful things for my shop on Walton Street. One of my latest finds
has been these gorgeous intricate hand carved Jade Napkin Rings lined with sterling silver. The perfect detail of this carving even for Chinese standards is so rare to find these days. Each knapkin ring is so perfectly carved that you can actually twist the napkin ring round without either side touching. The come in a a set of twelve in a decorative silk box. They will make a great addition to any dinner table or a special gift for a good friend.

I am having an exciting time abroad sourcing new things for the Boutique.

I came across this beautiful Tea Set Solid Sterling Silver Dragon Design when I was in southern china.

Being solid sterling silver, it has a good quality weight to it. It is an exquisite piece that could be saved for use at that special occasion yet it is robust enough to use for everyday afternoon tea. Seems a shame to hide it away and not to use it all the time!

Why not come and see it for yourself at our exclusive showroom on Walton Street. We look forward to seeing you.

We wish you all a Happy New Year, and when better a time to introduce you to our new neighbor at 156 Walton Street - Serena Linley Provence. Selling the ultimate in bespoke fragrance, soaps and candles – our particular favourites are the scents made with lavender from the family estate in France, especially within the chic grey Murano glass candles.

Serena Linley Provence creates products for both hard or soft water for specific cities. Personalised soaps can also be made especially for your unique taste, lifestyle and body – by testing the PH of your skin or the water within your area or even be stamped with your name, family motto or whatever you wish!

Such a bespoke service is, of course, reflected within the exquisite interiors surrounding it. Jonathan Clark Architects have created an alluring environment by introducing a beautiful and delicately lit ceiling, consisting of tiny fiber optics which produce a starlit sky effect. A bespoke chandelier of carbon filament light bulbs hung on a traditional cloth flex, completes the subtle, yet complex layers of lighting.
